I took my time reading this book for no other reason than the faster I finished reading it the longer the wait for the next book. Sounds crazy, huh? As I’ve shared previously I’ve read every single book in this series. I wasn’t crazy about “Revealing Us” as there were too many things unanswered and especially the way it ends with Ella running away from someone in Italy. So in reading the sequels, or the fillers with some of Mark’s story, then learning more about Rebecca (who I still don’t want to be dead), and now Crystal (Mark’s new lover), I’m now anxiously waiting for the end. Or who knows, Lisa Renee Jones has created such a wonderful series that I may just cry when it really does end.
No in Between (Inside Out, #4)Chris and Sara’s love story continues in No in Between. They’re now getting better at fighting their own inner demons and really being there for each other without bringing the other down, or taking each other on the path of destruction. Chris wants to give Sara all or nothing, Sara is the same but now suddenly her panic attacks are back. She’s afraid to tell Chris because he’s made a lot of progress in not wanting/needing the whip. Believe me, this guy can take a whip! But things are getting worse before they get any better. Sara never met Rebecca yet she’s a suspect in Rebecca’s disappearance. Chris wants to help Mark as much as he wants to punch him in the face for making it clear he wants to have sex with Sara.
Against their better judgment, Sara and Chris decide to help Mark. The guy who is always in control is losing everything. Mark gives Crystal carte blanche to do whatever she thinks is best for Riptide, while he deals with the interrogations about his involvement with Rebecca, Ava, and his club. As if that isn’t enough he’s also having to deal with his mom’s illness. It’s not clear whether she’ll win her cancer battle or not. The media makes a circus of the art counterfeit, the BDSM club, everyone’s involvement with each other. Gosh, this book was packed with a lot of twists and turns that had me holding and catching my breath as I read it.
Chris, Sara, and Mark are cleared by the police, but now they’re searching for (presumably) Rebecca’s body at the beach. And this is the part I don’t want to read. In this book they still haven’t found a body, but I really don’t want them to find the body. I really, really. really don’t want Rebecca to be dead. The thing is the police finds Rebecca’s last diary in a boat Ava used and so now everyone thinks Rebecca may be at the bottom of the ocean. And, there’s still no word about Ella’s whereabouts.
I finished reading this book last Saturday, and I really didn’t want it to end. I’m just wow’d by the world and the story Lisa Renee Jones has created. It’s like watching one of my few and favorite TV shows. Like I said, I’m anxiously waiting for what appears to be the last installment, but I wonder if it would really be?
