Lola is a jack of all trades. She’s a Private Investigator by day, a waitress by night, who poses as a cheerleader in her spare time, who’s sorta girlfriend to a HOT journalist, and as if that weren’t enough she tries to explore what being a naturist is… Of course to do the latter, she needs to let go of her inhibitions; which proves hard to do because of her religious family.
Lola’s family… well what can I say? They remind me of my own family. You know, the kind that believes family is family no matter what. She loves them dearly, but goodness, they can be a bit nosy… Oh yeah…I can totally relate.
Jack is the HOT journalist, who’s known Lola since high school. He wants everything to do with her, if only he can be rid off of his “went bananas ex”. That proves such a challenge.
Lola is handed a new case, she must solve a murder. Keeping her family at bay is a full time job in itself, as it is trying to stay away from Jack. Dang it! The man makes it almost impossible.
This is a hilarious read. The whole family trying to mind Lola’s business is very funny. How Lola goes down the guilty trip about her family’s religious beliefs is a total crack up. The naturist thingy and Lola’s thoughts about it is short of comical. I had a blast reading this book.
